also, my eval copy of winzip is about to expire, whats the best freeware archive prog for win xp that can handle rars and zips? id google it but i cant be sure which are genuine sites and which are virus-laden hacker traps...

(pic is unrelated to nympho sis...but a nice teaser right?) :)

scratch that, 7zip solved the problem

also, once your trial period of Winzip is "over", you don't have to stop using it.
All it does it bug you to register each time you use it. You could easily deal with the 2 second delay to un-raring your stuff.

As long as I've used Winzip, it has claimed it will stop working when the trial period ends, but doesn't actually. Seriously, you should try it instead of taking it for face value. And I don't imagine it has changed, unless version 12.x actually locks down, and that's what you happen to be using.

And even if that's the case, it's pretty immaterial to obtain a working authentication key for software like Winzip, to Adobe products, to 3D Studio Max and so on... given just 20 minutes or so of proper searching.

But, whatever works. And 7zip is the superior software app between the two in my opinion.
