I do the best that I can, but it's either a dynamic IP, or a proxy, and well.. I dunno. Far as I know, I could end up reporting an innocent person to the FBI and then I'd get the heat for it. -_-
Besides, half the time, their being posted from somewhere over in Europe, or India, or Africa for all I know.

its an obnoxious situation... it appears to be running rampant everywhere tho, from animetc to gelbooru and moe.imouto, all of them are getting hit by this same style of spam and method

It's probably a bot program using thousands or even hundreds of thousands of proxies that looks for loli in the URL.

:P in that case, the admin of this site should strategically change the title to something that wouldn't get a hit. If it were that simple :s it does appear to be a bot tho, always the same time of day, 3 minutes off from the previous time, yesterday it was 05:55 and today its 05:58

At the moment the only way ist deleting and deleting. Maybe you can fight a bot with a bot which deletes posts after a special criteria.

Or some sort of tracer, if you use an IP site it usually detects the proxy, proxy type and you could use that to find the original and block that.

Wakaba can only ban IP's. I'd have to talk to the host about blocking certain things in a wide-range of criteria. Of course, I'm always seeing random types of spam, and actually, some of the CP may not even be CP in the first place, but young models that just happen to look like jailbait. Go figure? Its possible actually, but who knows. Far as I'm concerned, it's gone as soon as I see it.

I was thinking that too....they didnt quite look like kids....more like tiny teens and there is that site called jailbait.com with the same sort of "models" a little photoshopping and anyone could put a new title over the old one... shrug

got another one just now. piccie was of a young model, probably CP, with a megaupload link to a text file. Suppose that had further links in it for those who chose to download such things... I've banned it and added some stuff to the 'bad words' list, but I can't help thinking we're fighting a large mammoth with a sponge ><

lol yeah... i gave up reporting since you two are now pretty quick to respond when something pops up, and it was annoying copying the link to send all the time...especially when you right, your touchpad does that cursor jump thing and you click open by accident Dx

Hina is here when he can, he's been very busy as of late. I'm the one that's usually deleting/reporting and all that stuff. I'll need to add hina's change to the spam.txt file and make sure my local copy is up-to-date. (yes, I keep one on here so I don't have to update each board by hand XD)

the only other solution i can think of is requiring an account to post :s it makes it easier for blocking users and prevents fly by spambots from easily posting.

Brainwave! Is it possible to set sections to auto delete posts at a certain point? like the same way threads die after it reaches the limit? perhaps you guys can make a fake "loli" section and set it to delete all threads after 1 post (or something like that)and rename this section from loli to something else like l0li with a zero, or something of that nature.

Expanding on ShadowSneezy's epiphone, after you manage to trick the bot into its own section, notify the FBI and have them monitor and record that section. But you might have to make it auto-delete at a couple hours instead of immediately, to give the FBI a chance to track the IP. You'll have to talk to them about it.

:P im pretty sure they are well aware of the problem, its not just this site thats being bombarded by this bot swarm.

Eh, but after a while, who ever runs the bots will just update their listing and spam the good board again, making it a moot point. It would work for a while, but it won't forever. It's a nice idea though...
Now, the other flaw is contacting the FBI. The thing about it is that... the US government doesn't quite like anime loli and well, you know how that goes... Plus, with all the mangas and such, some licensed, others not, that could open up other troubles as well. The best I can do is report IP's to the right authorities one-by-one like I have been doing for quite a while. But again, most of the IP's will be coming from proxies and the liking, so it's usually out of US jurisdiction if that happens.

Mk, well, 2kochan is the only *chan I even visit with the exception of TAOchan (probably iichan I guess.. can never remember things), but they recently lost a lot of members, kinda like how 2ko did. I don't really get these unexpected bans myself, so who knows. Probably a case of mistaken identity since IP's are never constant.
